ESP Active & Warning 7 c ont rol indica tor
Illuminates for approx. 4 seconds when
ignition is switched on. The system is ready
for operation when it extinguishes.
Flashing when driving:
This shows the system has come into
action. The engine output may be reduced
(the sound of the engine changes) and the
vehicle may be braked automatically to a
small degree.
Illuminated w hen d riving :
Fault in the system. Poor road surface
conditions m ay cause v ehicle stab ility to b e
impaired.
Have the cause of the fault remedied by a
workshop. The system’s integrated self-
diagnostics a llows faults to be quickly
remedied.

ESP N ot Ready A control indicat or

ignition is switched on.
Illuminates to ind icate that the system is
not ready for conditions to operate.
May illuminate in cold conditions. It should
go out when the vehicle warms up.

Control indicator 2 illuminates for ap prox.
4 seconds when ignition is switched on.
With ESP active, if wheels are slipping on
wet, snowy or icy roads, engine speed may
not increase when accelerator pedal is
depressed. The vehicle may not move.
