Using the 2-Way Radio
Installing the 2-Way Radio Antenna
The 2-Way Radio function is designed to operate with an antenna. You must
install the antenna before using the 2-Way Radio. Do not install the antenna if you
only need GSM or CDMA cellular networking. The device is equipped with a built-
in antenna for this purpose.
Open the antenna cover.
Screw the antenna on the connector.
Setting up Parameters
Launch the 2 Way Radio application.
Select the check box in the top row to enable country selection.
Tap the Area button and select your country or region.
Tap the CH button and select a channel.
Tap the CTCSS button and select one of the available levels. For example,
select 0.
Tap the SQ button and select a noise cancelation level. It is recommended
that you select 1.
Tap the OK button to save settings.
Note: Make sure the device of your interlocutor has the same 2 Way Radio
settings. To communicate, all radios in your group must be set to the same
channel and CTCSS code.
Tap the Power On button to turn the radio on.
You can also configure the 2-Way Radio manually. To do this, select the check
box in the second row and then enter the frequency value manually. Below is an
example of settings.
Set TFV and RFV frequencies to 462.7 MHz or any other frequency allowed
for this purpose in the host country.
