Installation
First, consider inspecting the mounting locations of each of
the lightbars before you begin cutting wires and drilling holes.
Map out a clean, safe route for the wires from the lightbars
up to the power source.
Mounting -
Identify suitable mounting locations under the vehicle that will
not conflict with existing mechanical c omponents. Hold the
lightbars up to the prospective mounting location to v erify that
the mounting surface is flat and compatible. Direction of the
wiring (toward the front o r rear of the vehicle) is not critical to
the operation of this produ ct.
Now that you have determined place ment, begin to install the
mounting clamps. It is important to keep all mounting clamps
in-line and as straight as possible. It is a good idea to us e a
reference p oint on your chassis suc h a s the pinch weld
seam, etc. This will assist you in maintaining proper lightbar
alignment to the vehicle's body. There are 4 clamps per side
lightbar and 2 per each front and rear lightbar. Space the
clamps as evenly as possible, ap proximately 1 foot between
each clamp is suggested. Use a marker to mark ea ch drilli ng
point. You can pre-drill each point with a 1/8" drill bit befo re
screwing in the mo un ting clamp screws .
Install all mo un ti ng clamps facing the same direction.
Hold the lightbar up and install a tie-strap zip tie at each
clamp location
Take the U L200 system to your nearest 12vdc power supply
or 12vdc battery to test the unit prior to vehicle installation.
