Protocol:
Any : Any protocol number.
ICMP : The ICMP protocol (1).
TCP : The TCP protocol (6).
UDP : The UDP protocol (17).
Other : Any other IP protocol.
If the Exclude field is checked, it means that in order for the packet to match with this criteria, it must NOT have
this protocol number.
Source Port:
Any : Any source port number.
Specific : Select a specific source port number.
Range : Select a range of source port number.
If the Exclude field is checked, it means that in order for the packet to match with this criteria, it must NOT have
this source port number (or NOT be in the given source port number range).
Destination Port:
Any : Any destination port number.
Specific : Select a specific destination port number.
Range : Select a range of destination port number.
If the Exclude field is checked, it means that in order for the packet to match with this criteria, it must NOT have
this destination port number (or NOT be in the given destination port number range).
Direction:
The direction corresponds to the path taken by the IP packet inside the Vanguard unit.
An IP packet can TERMINATE inside the Vanguard unit.
WAN to Vanguard: The IP packet is received from the WAN(cellular) interface and is destined to the
Vanguard unit.
LAN to Vanguard: The IP packet is received from the LAN interface and is destined to the Vanguard unit.
WLAN to Vanguard: The IP packet is received from the WiFi interface and is destined to the Vanguard unit.
An IP packet can ORIGINATE from the Vanguard unit.
Vanguard to WAN: The IP packet is sent by the Vanguard unit to the WAN(cellular) interface.
Vanguard to LAN: The IP packet is sent by the Vanguard unit to the LAN interface.
Vanguard to WLAN: The IP packet is sent by the Vanguard unit to the WiFi interface.
An IP packet can be FORWARDED by the Vanguard unit.
WAN to LAN: The IP packet is received on the WAN(cellular) interface and forwarded to the LAN
interface.
WAN to WLAN: The IP packet is received on the WAN(cellular) interface and forwarded to the WiFi
interface.
LAN to WAN: The IP packet is received on the LAN interface and forwarded to the WAN(cellular)
interface.
LAN to WLAN: The IP packet is received on the LAN interface and forwarded to the WiFi interface.
WLAN to LAN: The IP packet is received on the WiFi interface and forwarded to the LAN interface.
