Installing the Vanguard 7300 in a Rack
Procedure for
Rack-mounting
Figure 3-10 shows the mounting hardware locations on the flanges of the Vanguard
7310 Version 1. For the location
s on the Vanguard 7330 Version 1, refer to
Figure 3-11, For the locations on the Vanguard 7310 and 7330 Version 1, refer to
Figure 3-12. Use standard rack-mounting hardware (not supplied) to secure the
chassis in the rack.
Version 1 Rack-
mounting
Use these
steps for rack-mounting a 7310 and 7330 Version 1 Series router:
1) Remove the front covers. (See the “Remov
ing And Replacing Vanguard 7300
Front Covers” section on page 3-8.)
2) Two people are required to position the chassis and slide it
into the front of the
rack.
3) Attach the front of the chassis t
o the rack:
• Secure the Vanguard 7310 Version 1 with mounting hardware at four locations,
two o
n each side of the front panel (Figure 3-10)
• Secure the Vanguard 7330 Version 1 at eight locations, four on each side of the
front pa
nel (Figure 3-11)
