FEATURES INTRODUCTION The Evolution by Vanco HDMI 4x1 Switcher (EVSW1042) allows 4 HDMI sources to be distributed to 1 display, with the ability of controlling each source connected and input switching from the display remotely via IR. Allows multiple sources to be switched on a single display by creating additional HDMI inputs. The EVSW1042 is capable of up to 4K/60Hz Ultra High Definition resolution, 4:4:4 chroma capability, and HDR with HDCP 2.

SOURCE SWITCHING The EVSW1042 allows for manual or auto source switching, in MANUAL mode, the front panel or included IR remote gives the ability to switch sources. In AUTO mode, the switcher will: 1. Automatically switch to any source input that is turned ON 2.
IR Receiver (RX) To control the switch: Plug the IR Receiver into IR IN port of the switch IR Transmitter (TX) To control the sources: Connect the provided WIR-1X4 into the IR OUT port of the switch Connect the provided IR TX cables into each 3.5mm input of the WIR-1X4. Use one IR RX for each source being used with the EVSW1042. RS-232 CONTROL The EVSW1042 allows for RS-232/Serial control using a 3.5mm Stereo Connection. CONNECTION DIAGRAM CONNECT AND OPERATE 1. Connect your sources such as a Blu-Ray Player, game console, A/V Receiver, Cable or Satellite Receiver, etc. on the unit with HDMI cable(s). Insert and extract cables carefully with the power switched off. Connecting and disconnecting while the unit is powered can result in damage to circuitry. 2. If you are routing digital or analog audio to an amplifier or audio video receiver, do so by either connecting a 3.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING 1. Best results are usually achieved when the source and display resolutions are the same. If resolutions differ, the extenders will try to adjust the signal to match the resolution of the HDTV with the lowest resolution. This will result in a picture with a lower resolution on the other HDTV sets. 2. If you do not get audio and video, access the “setup” menu on the TV to adjust the audio and video settings.
LIMITED WARRANTY With the exceptions noted in the next paragraph, Vanco warrants to the original purchaser that the equipment it manufactures or sells will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Should this product, in Vanco’s opinion, prove defective within this warranty period, Vanco, at its option, will repair or replace this product without charge. Any defective parts replaced become the property of Vanco.
