V VALVE CO ONSTRUCT TION T The standard Cam-Ce entric® Plug g Valve is s cconstructed of rugged castt ductile iron with w a welded d n nickel seat and a permane ently lubricatted stainless s ssteel bearing gs. See the e specific Materials M Listt ssubmitted for the order if other than standard s castt irron constructtion. The details of con nstruction are e illlustrated in Figure F 2. T The body (1) is available with 3-Way flanged ends s fo for connection n to the pipeline.
INSTALLAT TION T The installation of the valve v is impo ortant for its s p proper operation. The valve v can be e installed in n e either horizontal or vertical pipelines. F FLOW: The valve v is capab ble of flow in any a direction. T The various fllow configura ations are sho own in Figure e 3 3. The Valve Configurration numb ber indicates s through which h ports the plug p will be moved.

T The exercising g is achieved d by fully rotatting the valve e 3 360 degrees to t verify smoo oth operation.. CAUTION: Opening an nd Closing of o the valve should be e done slow wly to prev vent water hammer.

To repla ace the packing, first place the plug in n the blind porrt position (p port No. 2). For powerr a actuators, turn off and lock out electrical and d h hydraulic supp plies before proceeding. p CAUTION: Drain Lin ne before removing actuator.

REASSEMBLY All parts must be cleaned and gasket surfaces should be cleaned with a stiff wire brush in the direction of the serrations or machine marks. Worn parts, gaskets and seals should be replaced during reassembly. Bolts should be lubricated and torqued per Table 3 during reassembly.
