VALVE CONSTRUCTION (36”- 60”)
The standard check valve body (1) is constructed of
cast iron. See the specific Materials List submitted
for the order if other than standard iron construction.
The internal metal components are bronze or
stainless steel. The discs (2) and torsion spring (3A
and 3B) are the only moving parts and require no
maintenance or lubrication. The general details of
construction are illustrated in Figure 3.
4
The body (1) is either compact wafer style to fit
between two pipe flanges or lug style for bolting to
two pipe flanges. The resilient seat is bonded to the
body and is not adjustable or replaceable in the field.
