PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This chapter introduces the RS92 Digital Radiosonde features,
advantages, and the product nomenclature.
Introduction to RS92 Digital Radiosonde
The RS92 Digital Radiosonde offers improved data availability, in the
form of ccGPS windfinding, improved accuracy of humidity, pressure,
temperature measurement. This new radiosonde type features code-
correlating GPS (significant improvement of data availability, with the
ability to calculate height from GPS data), a silicon pressure sensor
and heated twin Humicap sensor. The RS92 Digital Radiosonde has a
small and fast temperature sensor and features easy 'add sensor'
capability. The RS92 radiosonde is available in digital and analog
versions. The synthesizer based transmitter is stable and uses narrow
bandwidth.
