Enabling SMS handling does not necessarily require additional
configuration to the modem control. The following settings affect SMS
handling and may be necessary, depending on the planned use.

SMS centre Telephone number for the
operator’s SMS center. This is
usually available from the
network without a fixed setting.
When needed, the number has to
be set using the international
number format. For example,
[phone].
To enable this setting,
command exchange
AT_smscentre needs to
be enabled by removing
the disabled selection.

Answer
incoming
If incoming SMS processing is
required, that is, SMS handler
component is in use, the Answer
incoming option needs to be
enabled in the modem.
