Setup Management
Automatic Setup Update
Automatic setup update enables centralized management of the logger
setup files (.adc/.dtg) and efficient distribution of the setups to the
observation sites.

The operating principle is as follows:
- When a setup (.adc file) is generated, MAWS Lizard also
automatically generates a small setup descriptor file with extension
.asd.
- Both setups and descriptors are made available to the network by
placing them in HTTP or FTP server.
- According to the given configuration, data loggers in the
observation sites periodically read their setup descriptors from the
server.
- If information contained by descriptor on the server differs from
the currently running setup, data logger reads its setup file from the
server. Setup file integrity is validated after the download.
- Depending on the information in the descriptor, the setup is taken
into use immediately or at a given point in time.
