Consult with the Customer
It is important to meet with the customer on-site to
determine their expectations and needs. You need to clearly
understand:
s
Be aware of window and door locations, identify any sources of
ambient light
s
Define all room dimensions, height, width and length
s
Note all existing and future presentation tools to be used in
the room examples being: whiteboards, podiums, computers,
audio systems, etc.
s
Measure and create a simple room drawing or reference the
existing room plans
s
Define the various types of presentations to be given in the
room
s
Define the various styles of presenters using the room
s
Discuss the experience levels of the presenters
s
Define how students and audience members will be included
s
Coordinate with the builders and architects involved

Tracking Area Charac teri stic s
There are many things to consider when installing the
AutoTrak 2.0 System. We need to identify a few things that
may interrupt the proper operation of this system. Be aware
of these critical items:
s
Identify width and depth of presenter area being tracked
s
Note items that could interfere or block the camera image:
projectors, posts, light fixtures, HVAC ducts
s
Identify any possible sources of Infrared (IR) interference in the
tracking area: motion detectors, sunlight
s
Measure and note a location in the center back of the room to
mount the tracking system cameras. Max distance is 40 feet
(12m) from the cameras to the presenter.
*Reminder
The AutoTrak 2.0 IR Reference Camera tracks the IR lanyard
and belt pack worn by the presenter only. IR from the lanyard
must be in open view of the IR Reference Camera at all times.

Choosing a Tracking Camera
With the AutoTrak 2.0 System there are two options available
for the Tracking camera that you can choose from: the
ClearVIEW HD-20 or ClearVIEW HD-18. The HD-20 has better
motion handling, offers true native HD or HDMI outputs -no
SD, more broadcast quality and should be used in a lighting
area equivalent to an office environment or better.
The HD-18 is more cost-effective, offers simultaneous HD
and SD outputs for use in videoconferencing and streaming
applications.
5
Wireless Audio Interface
AutoTrak 2.0 IR lanyard has a built-in microphone device that
you have the option to use. Main features include:

Only one belt pack needed for both tracking and audio
s
