Operator Controlled Camera Systems
ProductionVIEW HD MV/HD-SDI MV, ProductionVIEW HD/
HD-SDI and ProductionVIEW FX make up the family of
seamless switchers, while ProductionVIEW Super Joystick
and ProductionVIEW Precision Camera Controller exclusively
handle robotic camera control.
Each ProductionVIEW switcher/mixer console has an
internal 6 x 2 seamless matrix video switcher (for Preview
and Program). A 3-Axis Hall Effect Joystick controls up to
six PTZ cameras directly (without daisy chaining) through
six discrete auto-sensing RS-232 camera control ports.
There are 12 presets per camera for storing frequent shots,
totaling 72 presets per console. With the addition of input IR
sensors, MicVIEW or TouchVIEW, the ProductionVIEW consoles
can be programmed to automatically switch between
cameras and presets, similar to how the ControlVIEW XHD
operates. ProductionVIEW HD MV/HD-SDI MV offers the same
functionality as Vaddio’s ProductionVIEW HD/HD-SDI, with the
addition of multiviewer capabilities and digital inputs/outputs
and an optional touch screen.
The ProductionVIEW Super Joystick and Precision
Camera Controller use the camera control portion of the
ProductionVIEW seamless switchers. Like the switchers,
both have discrete, auto-configuring RS-232 control ports
for direct control of PTZ cameras – six in Super Joystick,
seven in Precision Camera Controller – eliminating the need
for daisy chaining. Each camera can also have internally
stored camera presets, 12 in Super Joystick, 14 in Precision
Camera Controller – and can be adjusted individually for the
operating environment with auto/manual focus, auto/manual
brightness, backlight compensation and one push automatic
white balance. There is also provision for external control with
built-in RS-232 commands.
The Precision Camera Controller integrates CCU image control
functionality into the system allowing users to control red
and blue gain, detail and iris with adjustable gain. Designed
to control up to seven PTZ cameras, two Precision Camera
Controllers can also be linked together to allow the user to
control up to 14 cameras from either controller.
