Appliance description
The appliance is used to extract cooking fumes and smells from a cooking
area and is normally installed in an overhead unit. This particular model can
be used in the extraction mode or the recirculation mode.
Extraction model
The integrated fan extracts cooking fumes and smells from above the cook-
ing surface. The air is cleaned through the grease filter and then fed through
the exhaust air conduit to the outside.
Recirculation model
Using an activated charcoal filter in the appliance
After passing through the grease filter, the fumes over the stove top are
removed by an activated charcoal filter. The cleaned air then flows through
the grating – above on the appliance – back into the room.
Using an air recycling cartridge (LRC1)
The appliance suctions the fumes over the stove top through the grease filter,
which retains the grease particles. The air is then blown through a pipeline to
the air recycling cartridge. An activated charcoal filter is installed in this car-
tridge, which rids the air of odours. The cleaned air is then aerodynamically
blown back into the room through the exhaust grating.
When the appliance is in use, ensure there is a sufficient supply of
fresh air to replace the air that is being extracted.
The activated charcoal filter is more efficient if operated at the lower
power levels.
