ACTIVE RIDING
K-TURNS
Use the K-turn maneuver if you accidentally stall your UTV
while driving uphill. Using a K-turn will enable you to point
the vehicle downhill in a controlled manner and prevent it
from rolling backwards. Use the turning method on this page
for K-turns:
1. Stop where you are

1, apply the parking brake,
and shift the transmission into neutral
2. Shut off the vehicle's engine
3. Exit the vehicle on the uphill side
4. If you are to the left of the vehicle, rotate the
steering wheel all the way to the left
5. Release the parking brake, but lightly press on
the brake pedal so you can control the vehicle
rolling
6. Let the vehicle roll slowly to your right side until
it faces slightly downhill

7. Reengage the parking brake
8. Reenter the vehicle from the uphill side

9. Start the engine and follow the method for riding
downhill
