BEFORE USING HANDSET DESCRIPTION H DISPLAY INDICATORS Signal Strength - Current signal strength: the more lines, the stronger the signal. Airplane Mode Transmitting and receiving information is restricted. No Service Phone cannot receive a signal from the system. Battery - Battery charging level: the more blocks, the stronger the charge. Roaming Phone is out of home area. Dormant - Phone is in a dormant state during a data call.
BEFORE USING HANDSET DESCRIPTION Ringer Mode Appears when the ringer is set as the ringer mode. Voice Mail Indicates you have voice mail messages. BATTERY USAGE BEFORE USING H BATTERY INSTALLATION Place the battery on the back of the phone so the metal contacts match up on the battery and in the battery cavity. Data Active Push the battery down into the battery cavity until it locks into place. Voice Place the battery cover over the battery and slide up into place.

Attach the charger to the phone. Make sure that the triangle symbol faces up when inserting the plug into the Charger / Headset port. Lift the battery up and out of the battery cavity. Make sure the battery is attached to the phone before charging.
BATTERY HANDLING INFORMATION CHAPTER 2 BEFORE USING H DO’s CHAPTER 2 BASIC OPERATION H DON’Ts • Don’t attempt to disassemble the battery – it is a sealed unit with no serviceable parts. • Don’t accidentally short circuit the battery by carrying it in your pocket or purse with other metallic objects such as coins, clips and pens. This may critically damage the battery. • Don’t leave the battery in extremely hot or cold temperatures.

H TURNING THE PHONE OFF Press the End Key END until your Power Off logo appears on the internal display. • Immediately change or recharge the battery when “BATTERY LOW” appears on the display.

BASIC OPERATION BASIC FUNCTIONS BASIC FUNCTIONS H ANSWERING CALLS H 2-SEC/HARD PAUSE FEATURE When your phone rings or vibrates, press Send Key SEND to answer the incoming call. (Depending on your phone’s settings, you may also answer incoming calls by opening the phone or by pressing any key.) To ignore incoming calls, press Right Soft Key To end a call, press the End Key END [IGNORE]. . In Auto Answer Mode a call is automatically answered after a preset number of ring tones.

When using this feature, the normal airtime rates will be applied for each of the two calls. Enter the phone number you wish to call and then press the Send Key SEND . If the caller’s name and number are already stored in your contact list, name will appear. The caller ID is stored in the Recent Calls Menu. The Music Player plays MP3 files saved on a microSD card. To display the music list when the phone is closed, press then select the file you want to play. Press and hold [PAUSE] to pause the music.

It also operates in Lock Mode and out of the service area. Press Right Soft Key Calls. H 911 IN LOCK MODE [OPTIONS], 3 def Recent The 911 call service is available even in Lock Mode. MESSAGING Enter “911” and then press the Send Key SEND .
BASIC OPERATION USING THE microSD CARD H USING THE microSD CARD The microSD card stores sounds, images, photos and videos and other files. INSTALLING THE microSD CARD To install your microSD card: With the microSD card slot open, and the gold contacts facing down, insert the microSD card into the slot. USING THE microSD CARD • When you insert the microSD card, make sure contact terminals face down.

MEMORY FUNCTION STORING A PHONE NUMBER STORING A PHONE NUMBER MEMORY FUNCTION The phone book stores up to 500 entries. H ADDING A CONTACT IN IDLE MODE H ADDING A CONTACT THROUGH THE MENU ADD NEW CONTACT Press Left Soft Key 1 New Entry. In idle Mode, enter phone number and press Left Soft Key [SAVE]. [MENU], 2 abc Phone Book, Enter a name for the entry using keypad. (Please refer to page 41 for more details on entering letters, numbers & symbols.) To change the [Abc].
MEMORY FUNCTION STORING A PHONE NUMBER UPDATE EXISTING In idle Mode, enter phone number and press Left Soft Key [SAVE]. Choose “Existing Entry” and your saved contact list is displayed. Choose the entry to add the phone number to, and then press OK . Press the Navigation Key up or down to choose the type of number you’re adding, as indicated by the icon. Press OK to select.

Navigation Key • Enter the last part of the word and then press enter the word. Allows you to enter numbers. Press Left Soft Key [Abc], scroll down to “123”, then press OK to change to Numeric Mode. To enter a number, press a digit key. MEMORY FUNCTION H SYMBOL MODE Allows you to enter symbols.

MENU FUNCTION RECENT CALLS H ALL CALLS Displays information about the most recently received, dialed and missed calls. To see a list of the 270 most recently received, dialed [MENU], and missed calls, press Left Soft Key 1 Recent Calls, 1 All Calls. If the number is already stored in your contacts, only the name appears. If the number is not stored, only the phone number appears. To view details, press OK [OK]. Call details include date, time and phone number.

MENU FUNCTION PHONE BOOK H LIST ENTRIES Retrieves an entry by name and calls by simply pressing the Send Key SEND . You can review all the entries stored in your contact list or quickly find an entry by entering a name or its character string. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 2 abc Phone Book, 2 abc List Entries. Or, from idle mode, press Right Soft Key [CONTACTS]. The list of names in your contacts is displayed alphabetically.
MENU FUNCTION PHONE BOOK CHANGE MESSAGE GROUP NAME Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 2 abc Phone Book, 3 def Message Groups. Press the Navigation Key up or down to select the existing group name that you want to change. The default groups Family, Friends, Colleagues and Business cannot be changed. Press the Right Soft Key [OPTIONS], select “Rename”. Press OK . Input a new group name. To save it, press OK [SAVE].

When using Erase Group, the entries that were stored in the erased group are moved to the “No Group” folder.
MENU FUNCTION MEDIA GALLERY H SOUND BOX This menu displays the list of downloaded ringtones or saved voice memos. Press Left Soft Key 1 Sound Box. Press Right Soft Key the following: [MENU], 3 def Media Gallery, [OPTIONS] to choose from 1. Send, 2. Rename, 3. Set As, 4. Move, 5. Erase, 6. Erase All, 7. File Info. Scroll through the downloaded sounds to display the sound you want to send. Press Right Soft Key [OPTIONS], then select “1. Send”. Press OK .

To play music through your phone, copy downloaded music from your PC to the card then insert the card into your phone. Press Left Soft Key 4 ghi MP3 Box. Mobile Web 2.0 keeps you updated by providing access to up-to-date information such as news, sports, weather and stock quotes when you subscribe to Internet service with your service provider.

MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS H PHONE SETTINGS AIRPLANE MODE Airplane Mode allows you to use many of your phone’s features, such as Games, Voice Memos, etc., when you are in an airplane or in any other area where making or receiving calls or data is prohibited. When your phone is in Airplane Mode, it cannot send or receive any calls or access online information. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 3 def Phone Settings, 1 Airplane Mode. Select “On” or “Off”.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS RESTRICT When you attempt to make a restricted call, “Please Enter your code” appears on the screen. DIALED MENU FUNCTION • Allow: Allows access to the Recent Calls list. • Restrict: Restricts access to the Recent Calls list. Press OK [OK] to save it. Blocks all dialed calls – except emergency calls – but allows an incoming call to be placed.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS • Allow: Allows calls to a 900-dial service. • Restrict: Restricts calls to a 900-dial service. Press OK [OK] to save it. LONG DISTANCE Restricts calling long distance numbers – the phone is limited to calling numbers within the area. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 3 def Phone Settings, 4 ghi Security, then enter “Password”, and then press OK [OK].

Select “NAM 1 - MOVILNET” or “NAM 2 - MOVILNET”. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 4 ghi Call Settings, 2 abc Auto Retry. Changes the NAM used by the phone when you have multiple registrations. Press OK [OK] to save it.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS ONE TOUCH DIAL Make a call using the preset speed dial. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 4 ghi Call Settings, 4 ghi One Touch Dial. Select “On” or “Off”. Press OK [OK] to save it. VOICE PRIVACY Enhances voice privacy and avoids tapping during a call. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 4 ghi Call Settings, 5 jkl Voice Privacy.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS EXTERNAL MEMORY You can view the Total, Used, Available memory status. Press Left Soft Key [MENU], 7 pqrs Settings, 5 jkl Memory, 3 def External Memory. The current memory information appears on the display screen. To return to the previous page, press OK [OK] . H BLUETOOTH Bluetooth technology connectivity enables wireless connections between electronic devices. If connected with a Bluetooth Handsfree device, you can use your phone more freely.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS To pair your phone to your PC or laptop, select Add New Device. Place the PC you are connecting to in discoverable mode and select OK. The phone searches for Bluetooth devices in range and lists all devices found. Scroll to your PC or laptop name in the list and select OK. Enter your lock code on your phone, then enter the same lock code on your PC or laptop. Select ”Ask always” or ”Always connect on your phone”, and select OK.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS If your phone is connected to a laptop or PC using Bluetooth, you cannot use the USB cable. To use the USB cable, go to the Bluetooth menu, select the laptop or PC connected to your phone and then disable the port using the applicable softkey. Unpairing a Bluetooth connection To successfully unpair a Bluetooth connection, you must unpair both the phone and the PC or laptop.
MENU FUNCTION SETTINGS By pressing Right Soft Key [OPTIONS], you can choose from the following: • My Phone Name: Your phone’s Bluetooth name will appear to other in-range Bluetooth devices, depending on your discovery mode. Enter a new name and press OK to save and exit. • Discovery Mode: Turns Discovery Mode “on” or “off.” If Discovery Mode is turned on, other devices will be able to find your device for one minute. • Supported Profiles: Displays the following list of options. 1.

MENU FUNCTION CAMERA TAKING A PICTURE IN IDLE MODE To active Camera Mode, press and hold the Left Side Camera Key when the folder is closed or the Camera Key when the folder is open. To take a picture, when the folder is open press OK [OK] or the Camera Key . Or when the folder is closed, press the Left Side Camera Key . After taking the picture it will be displayed. [SAVE]. To save the picture, press Left Soft Key To go back to idle mode without saving the picture, press the End Key END .

You can check the video framing through the main display screen. Press OK [REC], the Left Side Camera Key to take the video. Camera Key , or the To pause/resume the video record, press Left Soft Key [PAUSE/RESUME]. To stop recording, press OK [STOP]. • To view recorded videos, press Right Soft Key [GALLERY]. After taking the video it will be displayed.

Select the picture image by pressing the Navigation Key up, down, left or right then press OK [VIEW].
MENU FUNCTION VOICE TOOLS Your phone is equipped with an AVR (Advanced Voice Recognition) feature. This feature allows you to make calls or use the phone’s functions by simply using your voice. All you have to do is talk into the phone, and the phone will recognize your voice and complete tasks by itself. H AVR (ADVANCED VOICE RECOGNITION) Press Side AVR Key . The phone displays the Command menu and prompts you to say the name of the command you want to use.
