4.11 Out of Service Area Alarm
The Out of Service Area Alarm indicates that the handset is moving out of
radio coverage or cannot find a cell station with sufficient radio signal to
maintain the communication link.
This function allows you to select whether an alerting tone is heard in the
earpiece of the handset during your phone conversation prior to the
communication link being dropped. The default setting is “OFF”.
1. Press and then to display the out of service area
alarm status on the LCD of the phone.
2. Press
to change the status of the out of service area alarm,
the options ON-1 or OFF-0 are displayed in the LCD as shown in
figure below.
3. Press
or to turn the out of service area tone ON or
OFF.
The phone sounds a beep and the new setting is displayed.
4. To exit and return to standby mode press .
If you do not press any keys for 15 seconds, the phone
automatically returns to stand-by mode.
Out of Service Area Alarm Setting
:OFF (out of service area alarm off)
:ON (out of service area alarm on)
