• When you enter the first character in the input area, the relevant words of
what you are entering will be displayed. Select a relevant word and press
. If you enter other characters directly, these relevant words will be
erased. You can also press
or to erase these words.
• Pinyin method needs to follow its syllable rule; else the keys won’t work.
For example, pressing
after entering “W” will not work.
4.1.7 Entering English characters and Numbers
1. Press under text entering mode to switch between English and number
input method. The cursor is displayed in the text area whereas the input area
and the word selection area are blank.
2. Enter characters or numbers to be displayed in the text area.
4.1.8 Deleting Words and Sentences while Editing
• Delete all words (SMS and Mail)
1. Press and hold
, to display “Delete All?”.
2. Select “YES”
press to delete all the words that are being edited.
4.2 Functions for Editing
• The functions supported for editing are copy, cut and paste.
• The maximum number of characters that can be copied and cut is 60
alphabets or 120 alphanumeric characters.
4.2.1 Copying Text
1. Display the screen that has the text you want to copy.
• You cannot edit text from your SMS box.
2. Press
to display the sub menu.
3. Press
to select “Copy”, “Select the first letter” is displayed.
4. Press
to select the first letter press .
• After you select the first letter, “Select the last letter” appears.
5. Press
to select the last letter. The letters you select will have a black
background.
