FACTORY TESTS

Factory testing to be in accordance with the Quality Control manual in reference to Clause 6 of the above

mentioned requirements.

The submitter shall ensure that the following factory tests are conducted at the frequency specified and the results

are documented and made available for review by CSA field services representatives:

Test Frequency

Test Fire Burner, Manifold & Control Assy. - Proper Operation 100%

Pass/Fail Criteria:

Valve shall turn freely

The burner flames shall carryover and burn at all ports

Manifold and Control Assembly – Gas Tightness 100%

Pass/Fail Criteria:

No leakage shall be observed

Manifold and Control Assembly – Gas Tightness

Burner Operating Characteristics 1 per 1000 per production lot

Pass/Fail Criteria:

The burner shall light without delay

The burner flames shall carryover and burn at all ports

Flames shall not flash outside the enclosure

The burner shall not flash back

Ignition and extinction shall occur without undue noise

There shall be no backpressure at the burner mixer face

Manual Ignition System (manual ignition device) 1 per 1000 per production lot

Pass/Fail Criteria

Ignition of gas at the burner ports shall occur within

4 seconds after gas is available at the burner ports.

Combustion 1 per 1000 per production lot

Pass/Fail Criteria:

CO shall not exceed 0.08 percent in an air-free sample.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIELD SERVICES

1. Component descriptions marked with either the "(INT)" or "(INT*)" identifiers may be substituted with

other components providing the requirements specified under the notes in the "Description" are complied

with.

1. Component descriptions marked with the identifier "(CT)" are subject to annual pickup and Conformity

Testing.
