AUTO SHUT-OFF SAFEGUARD/DESCONEXIÓN AUTOMÁTICA DE SEGURIDAD
The auto shut-off safeguard feature cuts power from the surge protector to the connected equipment in the event of a
catastrophic surge or when the unit has absorbed as much excess energy as it can, thus ensuring that no more
damaging surges get through to the connected equipment.
La función de desconexión automática de seguridad interrumpe el suministro eléctrico proveniente del protector en caso
de sobretensión catastrófica o cuando la unidad ha absorbido más energía de la que puede, garantizando así que el equipo

USB CABLE CONNECTIONS/CONEXIONES DE CABLES USB
Connect the USB charging cable* to one of the USB ports on the unit. Connect the other end of the USB charging cable*
to the portable electronic device that requires charging. (Charge up to two devices simultaneously.**)
* USB charging cable is not included. Ensure compatible USB charging cable is used. Refer to the owner's manual of
your portable electronic device for charging instructions.
** Not to exceed total, combined ports rating of 1A while charging. Exceeding the 1A rating will cause the overload
protection to trip and shut off the unit. If this occurs, unplug all devices from the unit, then unplug the unit from the
outlet to reset it.

INDICATOR LIGHTS/LUCES INDICADORAS
• The “protected” light (RED) should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light goes out at any time, it
means that your surge protector has served its purpose and protected your equipment, so it should be replaced.
• The “grounded” light (GREEN) should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light does not come on when
you plug in your surge protector, you may have a ground-wiring problem and you should contact an electrician to
properly ground the outlet. Connecting the surge protector to an improperly grounded outlet will void all warranties.
• La luz indicadora de “protegido" (ROJA) debe iluminarse al encender el interruptor de encendido. Si en algún momento
dicha luz se apaga, significa que el protector de corriente cumplió su vida útil, por lo que debe reemplazarse.

1. Make sure that the protector is plugged into a working AC outlet.

Plug your surge protector into a grounded outlet only. Find a dry, indoor location that allows all power cords to reach the
surge protector. All connected equipment should be plugged directly into your surge protector. Using an extension cord to
connect the surge protector to the wall outlet will void all warranties.
1. Turn OFF power to the surge protector and to all equipment. Push the “OFF” side of the switch to turn it off. Plug the
surge protector into a properly grounded AC receptacle.
2. Plug in one of the pieces of equipment, turn the surge protector ON. Turn the equipment ON. Check to see if the
equipment is working correctly. If the equipment is working correctly, continue to plug in and turn on the rest of the
equipment.
If there are any problems in getting the surge protector to work properly, stop and read the troubleshooting section of
these instructions. If you continue to experience any problems, please contact Technical Support toll free at
