4. On the back of the fixture pan (A), the 1 in. round
knockout needs to be removed for standard installation.
If the knock-out does not break free, use pliers and
bend it back and forth until it snaps off.
5. While holding the fixture pan (A) against the
mounting surface, use a pencil to mark the locations of
the mounting holes onto the mounting surface. Drill a
1/16 in. pilot hole into the marked screw locations. You
can also use an awl, or nail to dimple the scre.
NOTE: Two people are required to complete the
mounting of this product: one person to hold the product
in place against the mounting surface and another to
secure it in place. Prior to mounting the fixture pan(A)
to the mounting surface, feed the ends of wires through
the center hole.
6. WALL STUD MOUNTING: For mounting over the
wall stud, drill four small pilot holes for the wood
screws (CC). Place one of the washers (EE) on each
wood screw (CC). While holding the fixture pan (A) in
line with the pilot holes, screw the wood screws (CC)
and washers (EE) into the wooden studs. Tighten
until the fixture pan (A) has been secured to the
mounting surface.
7. DRYWALL MOUNTING: For mounting into
drywall, drill 3/16 in. holes for the drywall anchors
(FF). Insert the drywall anchors (FF) into the proper
holes and tap them into place so they are flush with
the surface of your drywall. Place one of the washers
(EE) on each wood screw (CC). While holding your
fixture in line with the wall anchors, screw the wood
screws (CC) into the drywall anchors (FF). Tighten
until the fixture pan (A) has been secured to the
mounting surface.

8. For safety and proper operation, your fixture must
be properly grounded. If you are unfamiliar with the
methods of properly grounding your fixture, consult
a qualified electrician. The fixture grounding wire
and the electrical box ground wire should be
connected together using one of the wire nuts (AA).
9. Connect the supply leads from the electrical box
to the fixture wire leads using the wire nuts (AA) The
black lead from the fixture pan (A) goes to the black
supply lead and the white lead from the fixture pan
(A) goes to the white supply lead. Secure the wire
nuts (AA) properly to prevent the wires from coming
loose. Tape the wire nuts (AA) to the wire using
electrical tape.
10. To attach the wire compartment cover (D), place
the “U” channel catch at the back of the cover onto
the back edge of the fixture pan (A). Tuck all the
wires into to the wire compartment cover (E) first,
then pivot the wire compartment cover (D) closed.
Secure the wire compartment cover (D) by placing
your fingertips above the locking tab on the face of
the wire compartment cover (D). Press on the wire
compartment cover (D). Lock the front connector on
the two sides of the cover and make sure all wires
should be inside the cover.
