INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS NOTICE: The pump depends on the liquid flowing through it for lubrication. DO NOT RUN THE PUMP DRY! Mount the pump solidly on a stable platform. 1. Install a reinforced hose (sold separately) on the inlet of pump (A). The pump (A) should be less than 7 ft. above and less than 25 ft. to one side of the water source. Note: Check the washer in the inlet fitting of pump (A) to make sure it is airtight. If the joint leaks air, the pump (A) will not operate.
Operation Instructions 1. Running the impeller dry for as short as 30 seconds can ruin the impeller. Keep suction line as short as possible. NOTE: An easy way to prime the pump (wet impeller), if using a garden hose to fill the discharge hose, is to elevate the discharge hose slightly to retain water and start the pump. Another method would be to disconnect the discharge hose from the pump, making a U-bend of the discharge hose, fill the hose, and then reconnect (without losing the water) to the pump.
