In the winter months, the Sun is about
12° lower in the sky due to the Earth’s
axis being tilted. Similarly, in the
summer months the Sun is
approximately 12° higher. For optimal
performance, the solar panel should
be adjusted +/- 12° just before the
winter and summer seasons begin.
Generally, lower Sun angles and lower
temperatures will require longer charge
times depending on your location.
All solar panels require consistent,
unobstructed exposure to the Sun to
perform at their best. Any clouds, rain,
pollen or dust etc. may increase the
amount of time it takes the batteries to
recharge. Use a mild detergent to wipe
the panel clean whenever necessary.
Allow up to 4 days of exposure to full
sunlight before activating to ensure the
batteries are fully charged. This
requirement will vary by product, please
see instruction sheet for details.
