4. First Aid Measures
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Call a physician if irritation develops or persists.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash off with plenty of water. Call a physician if
irritation develops or persists.
Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present,
after the first five minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a physician if irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion (Swallowing): Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Have person sip a glass of water if able
to swallow. Call a Poison Center or doctor/physician.
Other Health Effects: Repeated exposure may cause erosion of teeth.
Notes to Physician: There are no known symptoms. The first aid procedure should be established in consultation
with the doctor responsible for industrial medicine.
5. Fire Fighting Measures
Fire Hazard: Negligible fire hazard
Extinguishing Media: Product does not burn. Use media appropriate to local circumstances and the
surrounding environment.
Fire/Explosion Hazards: Not applicable
Fire Fighting Procedures: There are no unusual fire and explosion hazards known.
Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters:
Special Protective Equipment for Firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Thoroughly decontaminate firefighting equipment including all firefighting wearing apparel after the incident.
6. Accidental Release Measures
Methods and Materials for Containment and Cleaning Up: Using appropriate protective clothing and safety
equipment, contain spilled material. Soak up with inert absorbent material. Using clean dedicated equipment,
sweep and scoop all spilled material, contaminated soil, and other contaminated material and place into clean,
dry containers for disposal.
Additional Advice: Treat recovered material as described in the section “Disposal Considerations”.
7. Handling and Storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors. Mix only with water. Do not mix
with other chemicals.
Storage: Store in original container. Keep tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from
heat or open flame. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from animals.
Incompatibilities/Materials to Avoid: Alkalis, Oxidizing agents, Acids.
8. Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
Exposure Guidelines: This material is non-hazardous as defined by the American OSHA Hazard Communication
Standard.
