The Illustra 400 Series Box bridges the
resolution gap between standard and
megapixel resolution. Its 30 ips at 896 x
720 resolution sets it apart as a versatile
device. Combining superior resolution
with H.264 compression, this camera
creates an ideal blend of image quality
and bandwidthfriendly performance.
The Illustra 400 Series includes an
expansive range of features, such as
onboard motion detection, wide dynamic
range, and remote onboard storage
management. These cameras deliver
superior quality and versatility at an
economical price point.
Power over Ethernet (802.3 af PoE)
enables a single cable to power the
device while sending video and receiving
commands, saving time and installation
costs.
The Illustra 400 Series Box comes either
without a lens, or packaged with the
Theia SY110A wide angle lens for a
distortion-free 110 degree field of view.
The wide angle option has advantages
in that it provides the best wide angle
image quality without “barrel distortion”
or vignetting. This spreads the video data
evenly across the image, where other
wide angle lenses bunch the data into the
center of the image. This feature leaves
less data at the edges, where functions
such as motion search or analytics may
be less effective with other lenses.
