'B' Toggle Security Banner
If security is enabled, the USR4204 may present a security banner ahead of the login
prompt. Enter the security banner text with the 'Y' command in the Configure Parameters
Menu. Enable or disable the security banner with this command, which is available only
when security is on.
Default: Off
Batch Mode Command: FB=
Valid values: 1=on, 0=off
'L' Toggle LF Pacing
If the equipment attached to a USR4204 serial port needs time to process each line of data
that is streaming out of the USR4204 serial port, use LF Pacing to insert a 250mS pause
after every line-feed character in the data stream. The pauses in transmitted data will cause
the receive buffer of USR4204 to quickly fill, so S/W flow control must also be enabled for
this LF Pacing command to take effect.
Default: On
Batch Mode Command: FL=
Valid values: 1=on, 0=off
'J' Toggle Strong Password
Security policies may require that the USR4204 must not allow Users to choose weak
passwords. This command toggles the password constraint ON or OFF and constrains new
passwords as follows:
At least 8 characters, consisting of:
At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
At least one numeric digit (0-9)
At least one non-alphanumeric character (between 20h and 7Eh)
Default: Off
Batch Mode Command: FS=
Valid values: 1=on, 0=off
'U' Config Security
Setup and manage Administrator or User accounts with this command. It navigates to the
Configure Security Menu.
Batch Mode Command: None
