A serial port will automatically close upon loss of the DCD/DTR RS-232 signal on the
USR4204 terminal port, unless the DCD override is ON. Whenever a serial port closes due
to a loss of the DCD/DTR, the serial port automatically transmits an Escape Sequence for
the purpose of closing any downstream serial port of a cascaded USR4204.
A serial port will automatically close due to an inactivity timeout.
Batch Mode Command: None
'1'- '2' Toggle Power Port
These Toggle commands each control a USR4204 power port. When a Toggle command is
entered, power from the mains power input is disconnected or reconnected (depending on
the previous state) to the corresponding output after entering a ‘Y’ at the “Are you sure?”
prompt. The current power port state (ON or OFF) and RMS load current are shown in
parentheses next to the port name.
To update the RMS value, refresh the Main Menu by hitting the spacebar, Enter key, or
using the Refresh Menu (default '–') command.
Batch Mode Command: None
'Q' Toggle Cellular Mode
Use this command to change the number of characters and disable the guard timing
requirement for the received Escape Sequence. Each entry of this command cycles the
cellular mode from 0 (OFF) through 7.
OFF: The Escape Sequence behaves normally for analog modem connections. Receiving
three consecutive Escape characters (default '-') from the terminal causes a disconnect from
a Serial Port connection. There is a one second maximum guard time allowed between the
characters.
1-7: These settings are for Cellular (packet) connections, where large variations in latency
may occur. Receiving the specified number (1 thru 7) of the Escape characters (default '–')
from the terminal causes a disconnect from a Serial Port connection. The one second
maximum guard time limit is disabled.
Batch Mode Command: HQ=
Valid values: 00[Off, 3 characters], 01:07[On, 1 thru 7 characters]
'W' Arm Ctrl-B for Break
Navigates to the Arm Ctrl-B for Break Menu to select which serial port will enable and send
a break signal or trigger a power port reboot.
Batch Mode Command: None
