I-modem to detect at least one ring, wait for 5 seconds of silence at the other end of
the call, and then continue.
To use the @ command, set an I-modem to X3, X4, or X7. If it is set to X2 or
lower, the I-modem will return an ERROR message when it encounters the @
character. If itÕs set to X5 or X6, the I-modem hangs up when it detects a voice
answer.

" Dial the letters that follow (in an alphabetical phone number).
Note If you are including another command after the phone number, use closing
quotation marks before the additional command.
R Reverse frequencies. This command allows you to call a device that can only orig-
inate calls. It forces the I-modem to dial out at the answer frequency. You can put
the R either before or after the number.
X2-X7 Display different sets of result codes. See Chapter 5, Controlling Result Code Dis-
