8 Press ANALYZE (or blank “menu” button) to advance to the ENERGY SEQUENCE screen. If the AED has
a monophasic defibrillation waveform, the following screen appears:
• Press the
▲ button to change the energy selection (choices are 200 and 300 joules).
Note: Pressing
▲ after the highest energy setting will display the lowest possible energy setting.
If the AED has a biphasic defibrillation waveform, the following screen appears:
A value blinking on and off indicates which value can be changed.
• Press the
▲ button to change the energy selection. Your choices are:
#1: 150, 175, and 200
#2: 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, and 300
#3: 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325, and 360 (only energy levels equal to or greater than
#2 will be available)
• Press the button to advance to the next energy level.
Note: Pressing
▲ after the highest energy setting will display the lowest possible energy setting.
9 Press
ANALYZE (or blank “menu” button) to advance to the ENERGY PROTOCOL screen:
• Press the
▲ button to change the setting (choices are FIXED SEQUENCE or FLEXIBLE SEQUENCE).

ANALYZE (or blank “menu” button) to advance to the DISPLAY ENERGY screen:
• Press the
▲ button to change the setting (choices are ON/OFF).
11 If the LIFEPAK 500 AED has an
ANALYZE button, press ANALYZE to advance to the AUTO ANALYZE
screen:
• Press the
▲ button to change the setting (choices are OFF, 1 or 2).
If the LIFEPAK 500 AED does not have an
ANALYZE button, this screen will not be displayed.
12 Press
ANALYZE (or blank “menu” button) to advance to the CPR TIME 1 screen:
• Press the
▲ button to change the setting (choices are 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 999).
