" ProPEX® EP Fittings Stress Test A stress test identifies the force required to break a fitting. The process incorporates a tencile-test machine which pulls two 15-inch lengths of Uponor PEX tubing in opposite directions at a constant rate. The test records the constant force placed on the fittings in foot-pounds. In the stress test below, the peak force observed for the 2" ProPEX EP Tee was more than 2,900 foot-pounds without breaking the fitting.
