Do I need a separate slab sensor
if I use the Pavement Snow and
Ice Sensor?
No, the Pavement Snow and Ice
Sensor (A3040090) contains a slab
sensor in the sensor housing.
Can I turn off the snow
melt system?
Yes, the Single-zone Snow Melt
Control can be manually turned off.
The control will remain off until it is
placed back into auto mode or the
Away button is pressed.
How can I test the snow melt
system if the outdoor air is
too warm?
You can place the controller into test
mode to test the system. Refer to
the Uponor Single-zone Snow Melt
Control Installation and Operation
Manual for instructions on how to
place controller into test mode.
Why does the snow melt
system turn off when there
is still snow on the ground?
Users can configure the control to
continue running the snow melting
system even after the sensor is clear
of snow. This allows for a complete
melt of snow from all areas of the
snow melting surface. For further
