Press OPTION to move on to Backlighting ON or OFF.
- Choose BL-1 for ON or BL-0 for OFF by pressing UP or DOWN.
- Note: The backlight only comes ON in the dark. If the backlight is ON (enabled), any key
press will turn the backlight ON for 8 seconds in the dark.
Press OPTION to move on to Pre-comfort Recovery ON or OFF.
- Choose RE-1 for ON or RE-0 for OFF by pressing UP or DOWN.
Press OPTION again to exit the optional settings mode.
Press OPTION to move on to LCD Contrast Selection. Factory default is CO-6.
- If you find that the LCD screen appears too dim or too dark, you may change the LCD contrast
with this option. Choose from CO-0 to CO-9 by pressing UP or DOWN.
- CO-0 = lowest contrast; CO-9 = highest contrast
- HE: Use this setting for electric heating systems. With this setting, the thermostat will turn
the fan on immediately with the heating system.
Press OPTION to move on to the HE/HG setting. Factory default is HG setting.
- Select the proper HE or HG setting by pressing UP or DOWN.
- Depending on your home’s heating system, you may need to change the HE/HG setting for
the fan operation.
- HG: Use this setting for gas or oil-fired furnaces. This setting allows the fan operation to be
controlled by the heating system; not the thermostat. This is the correct setting for most
systems.
NOTE: To terminate the optional setting sequence at any time, press HOME.
