MACaddressagingtimeinuencestheswitch’sperformance.
AshorteragingtimemaymaketheswitchdeleteusefulMACad-
dresstableentries.Asaresult,itbroadcastsmanypacketsit
losestracktotheirdestinationMACaddresses,whichconsumes
thebandwidth.
Alongeragingtimemayleadtotoomanyuselessentriesinthe
MACaddresstable,whichuseuptheMACaddresstableresources.
NewMACaddressescannotbeaddedtotheMACaddresstable,
soforwardingperformancealsoreduces.
TosetMACAddressAgingTime,usethefollowingcommand.
