Grounding a Device with AC Power Supply
Using grounding bar
When the equipment room has a grounding bar, you can connect one end of the ground wire of the
device to the cable post of the grounding bar and fasten them with screws, as shown in the following
figure.

Connect the ground wire of the chassis to the protection ground in the equipment room. Do not
ground the chassis to a fire hydrant, radiator, or lightning arrestor.
Using buried object
If there is no grounding bar but an earth ground available for burying an object, you can bury an
angle iron (or steel pipe) no less than 0.5 m (1.64 ft.) to the earth for grounding. Then, connect the
ground wire of the device to the angle iron (or steel pipe) by welding, as shown in Figure 4-7. The
welding point should be treated against corrosion.
