5.4 System
The system icon allows you to modify system settings for the analyzer.

Instrument name text box allows you to specify the analyzer name used by the system. You
may enter 1 to 13 alphanumeric or symbol characters. The default value is “PAT700 + Serial
No.” Changing the instrument name will cause the system to reboot.
Instrument Location
allows you to specify the location of the instrument.
Language drop down list box allows you to select the language to use for all your interfaces.
You may currently select English.
• Selecting a different language changes the operating system setting in the registry.
When the system is rebooted, the new setting takes effect. The default selection is
English.
• For Japanese and Chinese translations, this control is disabled. In these cases, the
appropriate language will be loaded at the factory.
Return icon returns you to the setup dialog box and saves the changes. Any changes are
noted in the audit trail. All changes take effect on the next change of state.
