4.3 Operating the device
4.3.1 Loader
Overview
The loader is displayed automatically when the HMI device is switched on. If there is a
project on the HMI device, it is started automatically after a delay time. If you operate the
loader during this delay time, the project no longer starts automatically.
If you stop on the HMI device Runtime or show the Windows CE Desktop, the loader will
open automatically.
The following figure shows the loader without version information in the title bar:
Function
In addition to the Control Panel, the loader is the central operator control on the HMI device.
The Loader buttons have the following functions:
● Press "Transfer" to set the HMI device to "Transfer" mode.
You can only enable "Transfer" mode when transfer has been authorized in the Control
Panel.
● Press "Start" to start an available project on the HMI device.
● Press "Control Panel" to open the Control Panel of the HMI device.
You can use the Control Panel to set the parameters for the HMI device, such as the
settings for the transfer.
● Press "Taskbar" to activate the taskbar with the Windows CE Start menu open.
