Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1. Open the "System Properties" dialog with the System icon.
2. Open the "Device Name" tab.
3. Enter the computer name of the HMI device under "Device name".
The computer name must be unique within the network.
4. If necessary, enter a description for the HMI device under "Device description".
5. Confirm your entries with "OK".
Result
The computer name for the HMI device is now set. The network functionality is enabled.

4.4.12.3 Changing the network configuration
You can change the network settings for the LAN connection under "Network&Dial-
Up Connections". You can also configure the properties of the Ethernet ports of the HMI
device.
The transmission mode and the speed of the Ethernet ports are set automatically by default.
You can also set limits for the two Ethernet ports:
● "End of detection of accessible nodes"
DCP frames for detecting available nodes are not forwarded. Nodes located beyond this
Ethernet port are no longer available.
● "End of topology discovery"
LLDP frames for topology detection are not forwarded.
Note
Network settings on the KP400 Comfort and KTP400 Comfort
The HMI devices KP400 Comfort and KTP400 Comfort only have one Ethernet port.
