Drill two 3/8’’ holes 1’’ deep
on vertical center line on outside
door face only where thru bolts
are used as alignment studs.
Install KIL trim on door using two
installation screws and inside
mounting plate.

NOTE:
Backset of 2 7/16”from jamb to center or
2 3/4”from door edge to center is acceptable.
Strike shim can be used or not used to make
adjustments to the roller strikes projection to
compensate for doors with different backsets.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIL
KEY IN LEVER TRIM FOR RIM EXIT DEVICE
Follwing exit device template and
instructions drill holes on inside face
of door for head assembly.
Align tailpiece receiver of exit device and
KIL tailpiece so it slides onto KIL tailpiece.
Install mounting screws and follow exit
device installation instructions to finish
installation.
NOTE:
Drill holes for KIL Trim before the
holes for the Rim Exit device.
