3. Turn off the power switch on the back of the UAD-Xpander.
4. Remove the UAD ExpressCard from the expansion slot.
UAD-Xpander disconnection is complete.
Reconnect Once the UAD-Xpander has been disconnected for any reason, the computer
must be rebooted with the UAD-Xpander connected. Follow the “Startup Se-
quence” on page 104 for reconnection instructions.
System Sleep
Windows System Sleep (hibernate) is not supported when using UAD-Xpander under
Windows. Sleep should be disabled while the UAD-Xpander is connected.
To disable Sleep in Windows:
1. In the Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Power Op-
tions>Power Scheme panel, set the Power Scheme to “Always On”
2. To disable Sleep in when notebook lid is closed: In Control Panel>Perfor-
mance and Maintenance>Power Options: Click the “Change when the
computer sleeps” option on the left side of the screen, then select “Never”
