2. Description
The IceRock mineral wool rolls are made from non-combustible, bio-soluble, basalt
ber. The ber is mainly made from pure Icelandic basalt and consists mainly of silicon
oxide with a number of other metallic oxides. The basalt spinning technology ensures
excellent consistency and high quality level. The rolls are easy to handle, extremely
exible and incorporate high levels of thermal conductivity, acoustic absorption and non
combustibility.
3. Standard
The IceRock rolls are produced according to EN 13162:2001 and are non-combustible
when tested in accordance with EN ISO 1182:2002.
4. Operating Temperature
The limiting temperature of the ber is more than 1832ºF but the rolls should not be used
where temperatures are continuously above 482ºF.
5. Quality Control
The IceRock products are CE certied according to Directive 89/106/EEC and quality
control is carried out independently by the Icelandic Building Research institute.
6. Dimensions and Density
The roll is available in 3’X 29’6” and weighs 45kg/m
