Chapter 4. Communication
Connecting
Introduction
The Unitech PA966 allows users to link to a host computer via USB, IrDA, or RF
connection for data communication.
This chapter provides an overview of the communication of the PA966. The following
subchapters cover these topics:
“RF Communication” for details about wireless communication between mobile PA966
and host computers.
”Microsoft ActiveSync” for details about serial communication via USB port or
Bluetooth.
Docking Station
Plug the RS232 end of the communication cable to the
PC’s 9 pin Com Port and the other end into the cradle’s
RS232 port. Plug the power supply into the powerr
eceptacle on the docking station.
Serial or USB Cable
Plug the USB end of the communication cable to the PC’s 9 pin Com Port
and the other into the PA966 USB/Charging Port (see page 3). Plug the Power
Supply into the Power Receptacle on the USB plug.
Plug in the USB end of the communication cable
to the PC's USB port and the other end into the
cradle's USB port. Plug the power supply into the
power jack of the docking station.
