Redundancy Level 3
Code types other than the following must be successfully read twice before being
decoded. The following codes must be read three times:
Code Type Code Length
MSI 4 characters or less
D 2 of 5 8 characters or less
I 2 of 5 8 characters or less
Codabar 8 characters or less
Redundancy Level 4
The following code types must be successfully read three times before being
decoded:
Code Type Code Length
All All
Security Level
The decoder offers four levels of decode security for delta barcodes, which include
UPC/EAN and Code 93. Select increasing levels of security for decreasing levels of
barcode quality. There is an inverse relationship between security and decoder
aggressiveness, so choose only that level of security necessary for any given
application.
Security Level 0: This setting allows the decoder to operate in its most
aggressive state, while providing sufficient security in decoding most “in-spec”
barcodes.
Security Level 1: This default setting eliminates most misdecodes.
Security Level 2: Select this option if Security level 1 fails to eliminate
misdecodes.
