1 QUICK START UP OF A NEW SYSTEM

The following is a list of steps that would typically be performed on a new

POS4000 prior to use.

• SET DATE AND TIME (see section 6.2.1)

Example to set time to Monday 04:30PM on 05/06/93:

[MENU UP/DOWN] until "Set System Time" is displayed

• NAME WASH FEATURES (see section 6.13.1)

Example to change the name of feature 1 to "ECONO-WASH":

[MENU UP/DOWN] until "Change Wash Name" appears

To type [-] you must press [SHIFT] to switch to uppe

characters then [-] (on the [R] key) then [SHIFT] again to return

to the lower characters).
