4.4.8 HV/MV Earth fault monitoring via channel U4
In high impedance grounded MV networks the voltage in the transformer’s ground point is of
interest to study. Earth faults and emerging earth faults can be detected by analysing the ground point
voltage.
If there is an available connection to the ground point voltage (like in Figure 16) we recommend
connecting it to channel U4.
