PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and
completely remove the old xture from the ceiling, including the old mounting strap.
1. Take the mounting strap assembly from the parts bag. Mounting strap (B) contains several threaded holes. Two of mounting screws
(A) should be attached to mounting strap (B). You may need to tighten nuts (C) that hold these screws in place.
2. If the screws are not attached, please hold canopy (F) up to mounting strap (B). Line up the holes in canopy (F) with the holes in
mounting strap (B) and insert mounting screws (A) into mounting strap (B) so that mounting screws (A) protrude through the holes in
canopy (F). Mounting screws (A) are long, so please test canopy (F) against the mounting strap and practice threading deco nuts (H)
onto mounting screws (A) to see how far you should insert mounting screws (A). Remove the deco nuts and canopy. Tighten nuts (C)
onto mounting screws (A) to hold the screws in place.
3. Use mounting screws (D) and a screw driver to attach mounting strap (B) to the junction box.
4.Attachtoploops(L)tothexture’sbody(I)atposts(M).Bymeasuring,determinethecorrectnumberofchainlinksneededforproper
hanging height. If necessary, use a pair of pliers to open and remove any excess chain. Attach one of chain connectors (K) to each end
ofchains(J).Useoneofchainconnectors(K)toattachchains(J)totoploops(L)andcloseeachchainconnector.Feedthexture’s
wires up through one side of the chain (every three links or so), pulling the wires until taut. Use the free chain connectors (K) to attach
chain (J) to canopy loops (H).
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
6. Raise canopy (F) up to the ceiling and tightly thread nuts (H) onto the ends of mounting screws (A) to secure canopy (F) in place.
7. Installlightbulbs(notprovided)insockets(N)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximum
recommended wattage.
Yourinstallationiscomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
5.Haveanassistantsupportthextureweightwhile
completing the wiring. Cut away excess wire. Attach the
xture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthejunction
box. Connect black to black (or smooth); white to white
(or ribbed); ground to ground (green or copper). Twist
the ends of the wire pairs together, then twist on a wire
connector. Make sure all twists are in the same direction.
If there is no ground wire (green or copper) from the
junction box, locate ground screw (E) on mounting strap
(B)andwrapthexture’sgroundwirearoundthegreen
ground screw (E). Use a screwdriver to secure ground
screw (E) onto the mounting bracket. Tuck all wires neatly
into the junction box.
