5. How to use the terminal

5.1. Main Screen

The appearance of the main screen is highly configurable and can change appearance depending

on the setup by the administrator. When no activity has occurred for a programmed number of

minutes set by the administrator the LCD will turn off and the display will be blank. When a user

approaches the terminal, touches the screen, scans a card, or enters a fingerprint the screen will

show again.

Number Item Description

1 Configuration Button For entering terminal configuration mode

2 ID Input Button For entering a user id number for authentication

3 Time/Date Time/Date display. Different display options

available in configuration mode.

4 Function Keys These keys are used for changing authentication

modes. Same function as the F1-F4 Buttons on

the terminal.

5 Status Status text indicating the current mode of

authentication. (access/leave/attend/in/out)
