13 Loosen both set screws securing the gear to the platen.
When reinstalling the gear after the platen has been replaced, make sure each of the two set
screws is tightened against a “flat” side of the end of the platen.
14 Remove the horseshoe clip that secures the other end of the platen.
15 Replace the platen and reinstall all components in reverse order.
