2.3.2 Loading Paper Stock
The 8500 printer automatically loads and aligns new bag tags. To load bag tags, complete the following
steps:
2 Rotate the spindle:
• Downward to decrease the size of the paper path.
• Upward to increase the size of the paper path.
3 Re-tighten the spindle lock when adjustments are complete.
Note: Allow .03 to .06 inch gap between the paper and the paper path guides.
Step Action
1 Power on the printer.
2 Insert the bag tag stock through the back of the printer.
3 When the bag tag stock is within three inches of the print head, the printer engages its stock
motor. Continue to push the stock forward. As the stock reaches the print head, the printer
automatically aligns the stock.
4 After loading the stock successfully, the alarm and/or stock LEDs will turn off.
