TROUBLESHOOTING
The audio sounds weak.
Move the handset and/or base away from metal objects or appliances and try again.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Can't make or receive calls.
Check both ends of the base telephone line cord.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base and wall outlet.
Disconnect the AC adapter for a few minutes, and then reconnect it.
De-register the handset (see "De-register the Handset" on page 15) and register the handset
(see "Register the Handset" on page 14).
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Make sure the line is not in use.
If an outside call is already established, you can not make another outside call.
The handset doesn't ring or
receive a page.
Charge the batteries in the handset for 15-20 hours by placing the handset on the base or
charging cradle.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
De-register the handset (see "De-register the Handset" on page 15) and register the handset
(see "Register the Handset" on page 14).
Unavailable
appears in
the display.
Make sure that another handset(s) is not in use, and try the phone again.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Severe noise interference.
Keep the handset away from microwave ovens, computers, remote control toys, wireless
microphones, alarm systems, intercoms, room monitors, fluorescent lights, and electrical
appliances.
Move to another location or turn off the source of interference.
Caller ID does not display.
The handset was picked up before the second ring.
The call was placed through a switchboard.
Contact your service provider to verify the Caller ID settings. There can be a problem with your
Caller ID service.
