Problems
The
majority

problems

attributable
to incorrect
wiring
or
poor
solder
joints.

cable

open circuit

causing

Radio

talk
to the PK-96.
Symptom:
You
don't receive
the
sign-on
(autobaud)
message
when you
power
up

pK-96.
Possible
Causes:

continuity
check

cable
and repair
if
necessary.
Next,
make
sure
you
have
wired
the
cable
correctly.
MailDrop
Problems
Problem:
Unable
to connect
to
other stations.
Symptom:
PK-96
prints
what?
when
you
try to
connect.
Possible
Causes:

You're
still
logged
onto
your
own MailDrop.
Try
This:
Exit
your
MailDrop
by
entering
a B for
B(ye).
Problem:
MailDrop
messsages
aren't
date
and
time
stamped.
Symptom:
when
scanning
the message
list
you
see
"...."
in
the date
and
time fields.
Possible
Causes:
'
The
PK-96
has
been
"restarted"
since
the
clock
was last
set,
the
power
failed,
the
pK-96
was
turned
oll',
or FIESTART
was
issued.
Try
This:
First,
set the
clock.
If
it
continues
to
be
a
problem,
check
the stability
of the
pK-96's
power
supply-it
must
nor drop
below
12
VDC
@
400mA.
Problem:
Other
stations
are
unable
to connect
or link
with your
MailDrop.
Symptom:
Stations
are
receiving
a Busy
response.
